Observing the universe at Mauna kea!

Look up at the stars and not down at your feet. Try to make sense of what you see, and wonder about what makes the universe exist. Be curious - Stephen Hawking

I am always looking up, and always wanting to go higher and higher. This peak was the highest I reached so far. At 13000 feet, there's about 40% less oxygen, that's why we stopped at the Mauna kea visitor center at 2,800 meters altitude (9,200 feet) to acclimatize.

In fact, Mauna Kea stands at 4,207 m (13,802 ft) above sea level, and this peak is the highest point in the state of Hawaii.

Much of the mountain is under water; when measured from its oceanic base, Mauna Kea is over 10,000 m (33,000 ft) tall.
