Geminids Night 2025 ✨ 2nd Outing

  • Partagé par courriel Canada (carte)

Join us for an unforgettable evening under the most beautiful celestial show of the year — the 2025 Geminid Meteor Shower.
This year, conditions are ideal: a waning crescent moon (~15%) that rises after midnight, dark and clear skies, and up to 120 shooting stars per hour! 🌌

The moon (~15% illuminated) won’t rise until after midnight, leaving the sky perfectly dark to enjoy the spectacle. The constellation Gemini appears in the east around 8 p.m., and the meteors increase in frequency as the night progresses.

And if luck is on our side… we might even catch a glimpse of an aurora borealis, a rare but sometimes visible phenomenon at this time of year. 💫

We’ll leave the city lights behind to reconnect with nature, admire the night sky, and learn night photography techniques.
This second outing happens right after the peak of activity — even after the peak, the Geminids remain strong, often producing dozens of bright meteors each hour.

Whether you come solo, with friends, or with your camera, this bilingual experience invites you to slow down, contemplate, and share in the beauty of the cosmos. 🌙

Your guides

Gael Hanna

Hi, I’m Gael, one of your guides for this Zendefull escape.

I’m a Mechanical Engineering student with a passion for astronomy and the night sky. Over the past few years, I’ve attended several stargazing events, watched meteor showers in Lebanon, and explored dark-sky spots around Montreal, and I’ve developed a deep interest in understanding constellations, planets, and celestial events like the Geminids. I love sharing what I learn with others and helping people experience that same awe when they look up at the stars.

Alex DiTommaso

Originally from New Brunswick, Alex has been captivated by the night sky since childhood. He began astrophotography in 2020 and has spent countless nights capturing deep-sky wonders in Canada and across the world. By day, he works with the Canadian Space Agency, supporting the operations of Canadarm2, the robotic arm aboard the International Space Station. Alex is passionate about making the universe more accessible and looks forward to helping you experience the cosmos firsthand.
