Trip schedule

Night 1 — Arrival & First Aurora

  • Airport pickup & transfer to hotel if you arrive during the day

  • Evening briefing and welcome session

  • First night outing: Aurora orientation & observation

Night 2 — Chasing Further

  • Meet up in the afternoon & photo gear check

  • Aurora chasing night, we’ll head out to another location to watch and capture the aurora borealis!

Night 3 — Trails & Photo Practice

  • Daytime visit to Old Town

  • Workshop: Photo Composition

  • Night: Aurora hunting, using new photography skills

Night 4 — Stars, Stories & Constellations

  • Optional day activity: Hiking and a musuem visit

  • Afternoon: astronomy & mythology session — understanding the constellations

  • Night: deeper aurora chase to a remote spot for darker skies

Night 5 — Reflections & Advanced Techniques

  • Late morning: Coffee & photo review & editing session on Lightroom

  • Afternoon free — explore the city or relax

  • Night: aurora + reflection photography by a lake

Night 6 — Rest & Recharge

  • A slower one — sleep in, go through your photos, maybe a short daytime outing if the weather's kind.

Night 7 — The final dance and farewell

  • Optional day: Visit the galleries and souvenir shops

  • Group lunch or dinner celebration (not included)

  • Last aurora hunt — long exposure group photo under the sky

Notes :

The sky and aurora doesn't run on a timetable, and neither do I when I'm waiting on it. Some nights we head out early, some nights we wait, and the order can shift depending on what the sky gives us. I watch the weather and the indices the whole week, and I'll let you know directly if anything changes. We will communicate every day on Whatsapp to adjust the schedule if needed.

Your guide

Samer Hobeika

Samer creates communities centered around wonder, sky discovery, and adventure.
A passionate astrophotographer and software engineer, he thrives when surrounded by nature and sharing his passions.

His journey began in 2016 in Montréal, when he started organizing his first expeditions to the stars — in places where light pollution fades away. These enchanting adventures fueled his mission.

In 2020, he founded Zenderfull with the goal of making the starry sky and outdoor experiences accessible to everyone.
After all, we are nothing more than stardust. ✨

Note that I am the only Quebec company licensed to be your guide in Yellowknife (License number: NS-156-2023).
